Article body
Stomil Olsztyn and Slask Wroclaw have been demoted to the second division after today's matches in the Polish Ekstraklasa relegation group.
Unlikely goal
Stomil were beaten 2-1 by another team in danger, KS Groclin-Dyskobolia Grodzisk. The writing was on the wall after just seven minutes when visitors Groclin scored a superb but unlikely goal through Grzegorz Rasiak. He crossed from the right side but the ball somehow went over the head of goalkeeper Sylwetser Wylupski and into the net.
Moskala leaves it late
Nigerian Kelchi Ihenacho equalised from close range for Stomil in the 53rd minute but Groclin were not finished. Tomasz Moskala gave them an important victory with a long-range shot four minutes from time.
Not enough
Slask Wroclaw managed a 1-1 draw at home against Widzew Lódz, but it was not enough to save them. Widzew took the lead through defender Jacek Paszulewicz only for Ireneusz Gortowski to equalise.
Play-offs likely
KSZO Ostrowiec beat RKS Radomsko 2-1 in a result that probably means both teams will qualify for the play-offs. Jacek Dabrowski gave KSZO the lead, and Arkadiusz Bilski increased the advantage in the 70th minute. Radoslaw Kowalczyk's goal ten minutes before the end proved nothing more than a consolation.
Comfortable win
KS Górnik Zabrze took all the points from Zaglebie Lubin with a 3-1 home victory. Gornik took an early lead through Sebastian Olszar and never looked back. Andrzej Niedzielan hit the second in the 20th minute only for defender Edward Cecot to pull one back for Zaglebie in the 43rd minute. A strike by Gornik's Adam Kompala in the second half made the points safe.
