Boavista FC's title hopes took a dent when they could only draw at CS Marítimo.

Stalemate in Madeira 
The champions would have gone top of the table with a win, but could not breach the home side's defence in a stalemate at the Barreiros stadium in Funchal, Madeira. Boavista have now beaten Marítimo only twice in ten matches.

Level pegging with Sporting 
The result moved Jaime Pacheco's side level on points with leaders Sporting Clube de Portugal, whose game in hand is at Varzim SC tomorrow. Marítimo stay in sixth place.
