Llanelli FC edged out Caernarfon Town FC in a nine-goal thriller to move away from the relegation zone in the League of Wales.
Three-goal lead
The visitors raced into a three goal half-time lead thanks to Raith Plant's opener and a brace from the prolific Mark Dickerson. Danny Barton grabbed one back for Caernarfon early in the second half before Nicky Palmer restored his side's advantage in the 64th minute.
Caernarfon comeback
Carl Mainwaring added a fifth as Llanelli cruised towards the final whistle yet were forced into an edgy finale when Scott Millington reduced the deficit with 15 minutes to go. Barton completed his hat-trick with an 82nd-minute effort followed by a late penalty.
Carmarthen ease past Caersws
Carmarthen Town AFC had no such problems as a Jason Keaveny treble gave them maximum points at home to Caersws FC. Rhyl FC were also 3-0 winners, at Cwmbran Town FC, with two goals in two minutes at the end of the first half. Jamie Brewerton grabbed the first before Matt Cross added a second. Lee Spike rounded off the scoring eight minutes from time.
Port Talbot thwarted
Port Talbot FC thought they had taken the points when Richard Ryan broke the deadlock with five minutes to go at home to Aberystwyth Town FC. However, the visitors earned a share of the spoils when they equalised 60 seconds later.
Welsh Cup games
Meanwhile, in the Welsh Cup, Bangor City FC were 5-0 victors against Flexys Cefn Druids AFC at Rhyl while Barry Town AFC beat Ton Pentre FC 2-0 after extra time at Llanelli.
