TS Wisla Kraków's chances of defending their Polish title were boosted by a 2-1 win today.
Late winner for Wisla
KS Ruch Chorzów took an early lead through Georgian midfield player Mamia Jakia's free-kick in Chorzów, but Wisla took control of the game after half-time as Tomasz Frankowski equalised in the 67th minute from substitute Kalu Uche's clever pass before Maciej Zurawski scored his goal 19th goal of the season to win the game with nine minutes to go.
Bykowski boosts Polonia
It was also 2-1 at the Polonia stadium as KP Polonia Warszawa left it late to overcome Odra Wodzislaw. Polonia took the lead through Marcin Malinowski's 20th-minute penalty, but Odra equalised in the 70th minute when Marek Saganowski found the net from close range. However Maciej Bykowski grabbed all three points for the home side with five minutes to go.
No joy for Pogon
Home advantage did little for Pogon Szczecin as they lost 1-0 against ten-man GKS Katowice with the only goal of the match scored by impressive young striker Krzysztof Gajtkowski in the 78th minute.
Four-in-a-row for Górnik
In the relegation group, KS Górnik Zabrze won their fourth successive game against KS Groclin-Dyskobolia Grodzisk. Adam Kompala opened the score after nine minutes and Piotr Gierczak increased the lead in the 31st minute. Groclin hardly helped their cause by missing two penalties and having defender Marcin Lukaszewski dismissed in the 78th minute.
Lubin triumph
First-half goals from Albanian striker Enkeleid Dobi and Tomasz Romaniuk paved the way for Zaglebie Lubin's 3-1 win against Stomil Olsztyn. Stomil pulled a goal back from Maciej Terlecki's 76th-minute penalty, and they hit the post before Lubin's Aleksander Osipowicz completed the scoring after 88 minutes.
Slask hold Radomsko
Finally, RKS Radomsko will be disappointed after only earning a draw against bottom side Slask Wroclaw. Slask took the lead in 16th minute through Slawomir Nazaruk but an Olgierd Moskalewicz gave Radomsko a share of the points after an hour.
