Poland round-up: Ostrowiec held by Widzew

Struggling KSZO Ostrowiec were held to a goalless draw at home to Widzew Lódz in the Ekstraklasa on Sunday.

Slusarski denied
Widzew were the more defensive but had their chances in the first half, all of them wasted by Bartosz Slusarski. Ostrowiec could have score twice in the opening period but Tomasz Zelazowski and Arkadiusz Bilski were inches away from finding the net.

Robakiewicz impresses
Widzew goalkeeper Zbigniew Robakiewicz was in dazzling form and denied the Ostrowiec attackers on numerous occasions. "Our situation is very hard now," Ostrowiec defender Krzysztof Lasocki said. "But we still have few matches to play and we will not surrender. We are disappointed, but we did all we could."
