FC Tirol Innsbruck took another step towards the Austrian Bundesliga title on Tuesday.

Runaway Austrian Bundesliga leaders FC Tirol Innsbruck took another step towards the title with tonight's 2-1 defeat of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling.

Huge advantage
Tirol are now 21 points clear of second-placed Graz AK, who have only eight games left to play. Tirol went ahead in the 28th minute through a Radoslav Gilewicz penalty after Patrik Jezek had been fouled by Alexander Ziervogel.

Lead doubled
They doubled their advantage six minutes later when Michael Baur converted a corner from Jezek. Only in stoppage time did Kliton Bozgo reduce the deficit for Admira, the bottom club, with another penalty after Baur had upended Dejan Markovic.

Salzburg edged out
In tonight's other game, FK Austria Wien edged out SV Austria Salzburg 1-0. The only goal came in the 27th minute through Sigurd Rushfeldt, who firmly headed into the net from a corner by Zoran Pavlovic.
