FC Sheriff Tiraspol will meet FC Zimbru Chisinau in the Moldovan Cup semi-finals after a 2-0 aggregate victory over FC Hîncesti.
Slender lead
League leaders Sheriff took a slender 1-0 lead into the second leg at Hîncesti but Roberto Brown's 77th-minute strike was enough to finally end the home side's resistance. Zimbru had a far easier task after quarter-final opponents FC Happy End Camenca withdrew from the competition.
Late penalty
FC Tiligul Tiraspol joined them in the last four after Oleg Hromtov's 85th-minute penalty gave them a 1-0 victory at home to FC Constructorul-93 Cioburciu, edging the tie 2-1 on aggregate. They will face FC Nistru Otaci, who progressed after Iulian Bursuc levelled their tie with FC Agro Chisinau at 2-2 on aggregate with a 57th-minute effort. The first game had finished 2-1, taking Nistru through on away goals.
Draw for home games
Monday 8 April will see the draw for which team hosts the first leg of each tie. Both first legs are scheduled for Wednesday 24 April with the returns on 8 May.
