The Bulgarian Football Union have banned two referees for erroneous decisions and inconsistency.

The Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) has banned two referees, Georgi Narlev and Momchil Vraikov, for eight matches for erroneous decisions and inconsistency.

Paying the penalty
Narlev showed red cards to two PFC CSKA Sofia players in their 1-0 defeat by PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv on 6 April. Atanas Uzunov, head of the referees' commission, said that Narlev had influenced the outcome of the game by failing to award two penalties and showing an unjustified red card to a CSKA player. Vraikov was cited for his poor handling of the 31 March goalless encounter between PFC Svetkavitsa Targovishte and PFC Botev Plovdiv.

Kamishev resigns
The Bulgarian Professional League season has been marred by allegations of biased refereeing and there have been calls for foreign officials to be used in the championship play-offs.
