Plucky underdogs
The first division side caused their Austrian Bundesliga opponents numerous problems at the Arnold Schwarzenegger stadium and Sturm had to come from behind twice to secure a win.

Misplaced pass
Striker Armin Hobel opened the scoring for Bad Bleiberg after 25 minutes, driving in from the right to score after a quick break by the visitors. Sturm were back on level terms 12 minutes later after Charles Amoah took full advantage of a misplaced pass by Herbert Linimar.

Late winner
After 59 minutes, the minnows were in front agains as Amir Bradaric struck, but Eddy Bosnar brought the home side back on level terms with a superb long-range strike after 76 minutes. The game was won with four minutes of normal time remaining as Martin Pregelj scored for Sturm after some excellent work by Arnold Wetl.
