FK Austria Wien hit five on Saturday but Austrian Bundesliga leaders FC Tirol Innsbruck drew a blank.
Rapid run riot
Wien ran riot at VfB Admira Wacker Mödling with a five-star show to take the points. Sigurd Rushfeldt's hat-trick and a brace from Christian Mayrleb, including a penalty apiece, saw the visitors outclass the hosts from the first whistle.
Rushfeldt hat-trick
Rushfeldt scored his first from the penalty spot after just two minutes before Mayrleb netted twice and Rushfeldt added his second in the 44th minute. Rushfeldt completed his treble eight minutes from time against the basement club.
Grazer hold Tirol
Grazer AK managed to slow the Tirol steamroller but had to settle for a point following a 0-0 home draw. Thus the advantage in the race for second place behind Tirol swung to city rivals SK Sturm Graz, who travel to SV Austria Salzburg on Sunday.
Kärnten go down
Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz came from behind to beat hosts FC Kärnten 2-1. The home side scored through Mario Sablatnig in the second minute but were pegged back 14 minutes later when Patrick Pircher levelled. Hans Kogler grabbed the winner seven minutes before the break.
Rapid overcome Ried
SK Rapid Wien put distance between themselves and second-bottom SV Ried with a 2-1 victory over their rivals. Andreas Herzog converted a penalty midway through the first half before Ried made it 1-1 through Manfred Rothbauer on the stroke of half-time. Macien Adamski clinched the win for Rapid 10 minutes after the interval.
