The Turkish Football Association (TFF) has banned several club presidents and directors for criticising its decision to postpone Galatasaray SK's trip to Trabzonspor to help the Istanbul team prepare for their UEFA Champions League match with FC Barcelona.
Media attacks
Trabzonspor president Özkan Sümer and his Fenerbahçe SK equivalent Aziz Yildirim were among those to attack the TFF's move in the media, who have now been suspended from watching games from stands reserved for directors and other VIP guests.
Four-month ban
Yildirim has been given a four-month ban, while fellow club directors Murat Özaydinli and Mahmut Uslu have been punished for 45 days and one month respectively.
Month-long suspension
Sümer has been similarly excluded for a month and fellow Trabzonspor offivial Serdar Bali will serve a 45-day suspension.
