Ernst Stojaspal, Austria's leading international goalscorer, has died in France aged 77.
World Cup bronze medal
Stojaspal was part of the legendary Austrian team that finished third in the 1954 FIFA World Cup finals in Switzerland. He scored 15 goals in 32 appearances for his country. He also netted 218 goals in 183 games for FK Austria Wien between 1945 and 1954, finishing as the league's top scorer five times.
France move
After the 1954 World Cup he moved to France where he stayed for the rest of his career playing for RC Strasbourg, AS Monaco FC, Béziers FC, ES Troyes Aube Champagne and FC Metz.
