Danish champions FC København have raised nearly €21m from a new share issue.

Level at top
København, currently level on points with Brøndby IF at the top of the Superligaen, aim to use the money for both on and off-pitch activities. "The extension of our capital has been made during a negative period on the stock market, in which the conditions for an extension are very difficult," the Lions' executive director, Flemming Ostergaard, told the club's official website, www.fck.dk.

'We are very satisfied'
"That's why we are very satisfied with this new share issue. The deal gives us opportunities for new operations and a strengthened position in upcoming negotiations."
