København receive cash injection

Danish champions FC København have raised nearly €21m from a new share issue.

København, currently level on points with Brøndby IF at the top of the Superligaen, aim to use the money for both on and off-pitch activities. "The extension of our capital has been made during a negative period on the stock market, in which the conditions for an extension are very difficult," the Lions' executive director, Flemming Ostergaard, told the club's official website, www.fck.dk.
