Garbarnia Szczakowianka have won promotion to the 1.Liga after beating RKS Radomsko in a two-legged play-off this afternoon.
Aggregate victory
Despite losing 1-0 today, Garbania won 2-1 on aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0 on Thursday and will take Radomsko's place in the top flight next season.
Own goal
Needing to score twice to have a chance, Radomsko's only goal came in the last minute of the game by virtue of Marek Tokarz's own goal.
Leszczynski sent off
Radomsko finished the game with ten-men following the dismissal of Zdzislaw Leszczynski, who collected his second booking of the game in the dying seconds.
Staying up
KSZO Ostrowiec will continue to play football in the Ekstraklasa next season after overcoming Gornik Leczna 3-1 on aggregate, in the other promotion/relegation play-off played today.
Great relief
Ostrowiec held a 1-0 advantage from the first leg played on Thursday and went further ahead after 14 minutes today when Jaroslaw Popiela scored from the penalty spot. But Dariusz Solnica pulled one back for the second division side only six minutes later. Midway through the second half Daniel Grebowski ended Gornik's valiant efforts and secured another season in the Polish first division for Ostrowiec.
