Jozef Jarabinský is to return for a second spell as coach of AC Sparta Praha.

Three titles
Jarabinský is a former player and coach of the club, winning three titles 1989, 1990 and 1995. He was then fired halfway through the 1995/96 season but today agreed a two-year contract, just before Sparta's defeat in the Czech Cup final.

Refused offer
The 58-year-old former Sparta player had been coaching at FC Baník Ostrava, guiding them to sixth place in the table this season. It was their best finish since 1999 but Jarabinský refused an offer to stay on at the Bazaly stadium.

Delighted to return
Jarabinský is much-travelled as a coach, having worked at Sparta's city rivals SK Slavia Praha, as well as clubs in Greece, Turkey and Spain. He just missed out on the Czech national job last year to Karel Brückner but will be delighted to return to the Letná stadium.
