IFK Göteborg moved up to fifth place in the Allsvenskan this evening after securing a narrow 1-0 win over IFK Norrköping.
Andersson strike
Gustaf Andersson scored the only goal of a scrappy game in the second half to seal the points for Göteborg in front of 6,628 supporters at the Ullevi stadium. Andersson latched on to a pass from Sebastian Henriksson to head home after 53 minutes.
Recovery continues
Elsewhere, Helsingborgs IF continued their recovery from a poor start to the campaign with a 1-0 away win against GIF Sundsvall.
Santos goal
The visitors recorded only their second win in five games thanks to Alvaro Santos' 48th-minute strike. Helsingborg were by far the dominant side and Santos headed in a Marcus Lindberg cross to earn his team a well-deserved three points which lifts them up to sixth while Sundsvall drop to seventh.
