Legia Warszawa's Maciej Murawski has decided to join German 1. Bundesliga newcomers DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

Free transfer
Murawski, who is in the Korean Republic training with the Poland national squad in advance of the FIFA World Cup finals, will join newly-promoted Bielefeld on a free transfer after his contract with the Ekstraklasa champions expires on 30 June.

Fellow Poles
The defensive midfield player will join fellow Poles Artur Wichniarek and Daniel Bogusz at the Almstadion, and becomes the second player to leave Legia for the 1. Bundesliga in the space of a few months following Bartosz Karwan's decision to join Hertha BSC Berlin in April.

Legia regrets
"I regret Legia will get nothing for my transfer, but the Bosman law is a law and must be respected," said Murawski whose decision to leave Legia will see him miss out on the side's forthcoming 2002/03 UEFA Champions League campaign.
