Azerbaijan round-up: Shamkir continue winning run

FC Shamkir kept up their impressive Yuksek Deste form today as they beat FC Karabakh Agdam 4-2.

Six-goal thriller
Agil Mamedov opened the scoring for the home side when he netted after 28 minutes, but two minutes after the break Elshan Mamedov equalised for the visitors. Ismayil Mamedov restored Shamkir's lead four minutes later, and it was 3-1 after 63 minutes when Khagani Mamedov scored.

Mamedov double
Mamedov sealed the points five minutes from time with his second of the game, although Mahir Aliyev pulled one back from the penalty spot with three minutes remaining.

Red card
Elsewhere, Vadim Vasilyev scored twice for FC Neftchi as they beat FC Kapaz 2-0. Vasilyev's first goal came in the sixth minute, and nine minutes later his side were reduced to ten men when Kamal Guliyev was sent off.
