KR Reykjavík enjoyed an impressive 3-1 win over Urvalsdeild champions ÍA Akranes to move into second place in the Icelandic Premier League today.
Red card
Two goals from Sigurvin Ólafsson put the home side in command, before ÍA's chances of a fightback were dented with the dismissal of Hjalmur Dor Hjalmasson. ÍA did pull a goal back through Ellert Jon Björnsson, but an own goal late in the game from Reynir Leosson condemned ÍA to their second straight defeat.

KR are kept off the top of the table on goal difference from Fylkir, who were held to a 1-1 draw by KA Akureyri. Elmar Asbjornsson put Fylkir in front after 39 minutes, before Kristjan Örn Sigurdsson equalised in the last minute, with a thumping header from Dean Martin's corner.
Goal feast
Thór Akureyri and FH Hafnarfjördur played out a thrilling eight-goal draw in Akureyri. Orri Freyr Hjaltalin put Thór ahead in the eleventh minute, before Asgeir Asgeirsson equalised four minutes later.
Torhallsson treble
Two goals in as many minutes from Johann Torhallsson soon gave Thór a 3-1 lead, but FH fought back to level the scores swiftly with goals from Gudmundur Sævarsson and Jon Stefansson. Johann Möller put FH in front for the first time in the 36th minute, but Thorhallsson, completing his hat-trick, ensured the honours remained even after the break.
Steinarsson winner
Keflavík came from behind to beat ÍBV Vestmannæyjar 2-1, after Gunnar Thorvaldsson had given ÍBV a 15th-minute lead. Thorarinn Kristjansson and Gudmundur Steinarsson swung the game in Keflavík's favour.

In the day's other game, Grindavík and Fram Reykjavík drew 1-1.
