FC Sheriff Tiraspol ended their season in style with a 3-2 win against FC Agro Chisinau.

FC Sheriff Tiraspol ended their Divizia Nationala season in style tonight with a victory which moved them 15-points clear at the top of the Moldovan table.

Top of the pile
They were 3-2 winners at home to FC Agro Chisinau, while second-placed FC Nistru Otaci could manage just a goalless draw at FC Hincesti.

Five-goal thriller
Sheriff were given a flying start as they went ahead in the third minute through Igor Picusciac. Ruslan Barburos doubled their lead 20 minutes later. They appeared to be coasting to a comfortable victory, but Evghenii Saico reduced the deficit in the 68th minute. Victor Comlionoc increased Sheriff's lead to 3-1 four minutes later, before Andrei Zipunnikov dragged Agro back into the match with 15 minutes left to play. They could not muster an equaliser, though, and finished the season third bottom.

Score draw
Elsewhere, FC Zimbru Chisinau and FC Constructorul-93 Cioburciu fought out a 2-2 draw. Zimbru twice led through Serghei Darri and Viorel Frunze, but Constructorul would not be denied a point and levelled through Evghenie Carabulea and Alexandr Budanov.
