Option to buy
The Ghanaian midfield player moves on loan to PSG from Everton with a view to a €4.5m transfer in January. Nyarko, 28, had spent last season at AS Monaco after refusing to play for the FA Premiership club following a confrontation with a fan during a match at Arsenal FC in April 2001. He joined Everton from RC Lens in July 2000 for €6.5m but failed to make a name for himself in England.
Five-year deal
PSG have also strengthened their defence after signing Brazilian international Paulo Cesar on a five-year deal. The 28-year-old full-back, who can play on both flanks, just missed out on a place in Luiz Felipe Scolari's FIFA World Cup squad but is determined to be a success in France. "I'm going to give everything to make sure the club has a great season," he said. "I hope to have a great career in Europe. I'm at PSG to help the club win titles."
