Second-half drama
Pyunik maintained their 100 per cent record with a dramatic second-half display. Two goals from Artavadz Karamian and a 74th-minute strike by Arman Karamian ensured that Pyunik had the game long won before Andreanik Zanazanian snatched a last-minute consolation for the visitors.

Four straight wins
With four wins in four games, Pyunik have taken an early lead at the top of the Armenian table ahead of FC Shirak and Spartak, for whom Saturday's game was their first defeat of the season.

Zvartnots hit six
Meanwhile, FC Zvartnots AAL secured an emphatic 6-2 win at home against FC Lori. Levon Mkrtchian opened the scoring with less than a minute gone before Sevada Arzumanian (27), Vahram Lobian (28), and Nver Khachatrian (38) had the points safe by half-time.

Consolation for Lori
Sargis Nazarian made it 5-0 with a 61st-minute penalty before Lori pulled a goal back through Vilen Harutyunian a minute later. Vahan Torosian reduced the deficit further in the 69th minute before Tigran Surik Davtian added a late sixth for the hosts.

Thriller in Abovyan
In Saturday's other game FC Kotaik and FC Ararat Yerevan shared the spoils after a thrilling 2-2 draw. Artur Harutyunian and Vahe Tadevosian put the home side in control at the break but Aram Sargsian made sure Ararat went away with something to show for their efforts with two goals in nine minutes early in the second half.
