NSÍ Runavík moved level on points with HB Tórshavn at the top of the Faroe Islands first division by beating B36 Tórshavn 3-1 at Gundadalur stadium today.
Runavík hold on
Oli Hansen put the visitors ahead in first-half stoppage time before Sonni Lamhauge Petersen doubled their lead on the hour. Hansen and Magni Lakjuni traded goals in the dying seconds as Runavík held on for the win.
Goal difference
It means Tórshavn, held 1-1 by B68 Toftír, are only top on goal difference. Third-placed B68 took a 64th-minute lead through Arnold Joensen but Tórshavn salvaged a point when Rogvi Jacobsen converted from the spot.
No joy for Skála
Basement side Skála are still looking for their first win of the season after suffering a 4-0 defeat at KÍ Klaksvík. Skála, now with just one point and three goals to their name from six games, were sunk by a double from Kurt Morkore and a goal apiece from Atli Danielsen and Allan Morkore.
Strugglers draw
Fellow strugglers TB Tyøroyri and EB/Streymur shared the points in a 1-1 draw while GÍ Gøtu beat VB Vagur 2-1 with goals from Samal Joensen and Bartal Eliasen.
