Article body
Ukrainian Premier League side FC Karpaty Lviv have again appointed Levko Brovarskiy as coach, a year afer he left the club.
Previous dismissal
Brovarskiy was dismissed by Karpaty at the end of the 2000/01 season, after the club finished only tenth in the league.
Spring slump
This season Karpaty were a surprising third place in the table prior to the winter break, but since the re-start they have collected just four points in 12 games and now lie in eighth with one game to go. The slump led to the departure of previous coach Myron Markevich in April after the board became frustrated
Winter spending
Club president Petro Dymynskiy sanctioned the spending of €6m on new players over the winter, and Markevich's failure to keep the side in a qualifying position for the UEFA Cup proved costly.
