Article body
HB Tórshavn's lead at the top of the table was cut to three points tonight after they could only manage a goalless draw at VB Vágur.
Defensive game
Neither side could make a breakthrough in a match dominated by defenders as HB dropped their first points of the new season. The pacesetters had earned four straight wins in their opening four matches ahead of this stalemate.
B36 make good
The result gave HB's city rivals B36 Tórshavn the chance to make up some ground and they did so in style with a 4-0 home victory against B68 Toftír. John Petersen struck the first of two goals on the night after 23 minutes to open the scoring. He doubled the advantage with his second 13 minutes later to give his side comfortable two-goal lead at half-time. Late goals from Toralvur Poulsen (82) and Bárdur Mortansson (86) completed the rout.
Skála struggle
At the bottom of the table, Skála are still searching for their first win of the campaign after slipping to a 3-1 defeat at NSÍ Runavík. Things looked promising for the visitors when they took a 20th-minute lead through Alexander Johansen, but goals from Óli Hansen (26), Djóni Nolsoe Joensen (40) and Sjúrdur Jacobsen (48) completed a rousing comeback from the hosts.
Joy for Gøtu
Elsewhere tonight, GÍ Gøtu won 2-0 at home against TB Tyøroyri thanks to goals from Bartal Eliassen and Sámal Joensen while KÍ Klaksvík recorded a 3-1 victory against EB/Streymur.
