KR Reykjavík moved to the top of the table on Monday night after a 1-0 away win at Keflavík.

KR Reykjavík propelled themselves to the top of the Icelandic Simadeildin on Monday night after claiming a 1-0 away win at previous league leaders Keflavík.

Stunning strike
KR dominated the first half and went ahead in the 27th minute when Sigurdur Ragnar Eyjólfsson powered home a superb shot from outside the box straight in to the top left-hand corner.

Keflavík pressure
Keflavík piled on the pressure in the second half but could not get a breakthrough and KR held on to move two points clear at the summit.
