Leaders Myllykosken Pallo-47 slipped to a shock 2-1 defeat against strugglers KuPS Kuopio, who used the win to climb off the foot of the table in the Finnish Veikkausliiga on Wednesday.
Second defeat of the season
MyPa were condemned to just their second defeat of the season thanks to goals either side of half-time by Antonio Pogioli Marco and Yrjö Happonen. Marco put the lowly home side ahead four minutes before the break, but the visitors levelled through Miikka Multaharju's 48th-minute strike.
Hero of night
But Happonen proved to be the hero of the night with what proved to be the winner just after the hour mark. Despite the loss, MyPa remain two points clear at the top, but have now played two more games than second-placed HJK Helsinki.
