Sweden round-up: Brazilian boosts Örgryte

A hat-trick from Brazilian striker Afonso Alves took Örgryte IS joint top of the Swedish Allsvenskan tonight.

First start
Örgryte joined Landskrona BoIS and Malmö FF on 18 points after beating Djurgårdens IF FF 3-2 in Stockholm. In his first start for the club, Afonso needed just nine minutes to get his name on the scoresheet.

Own goal
Although Djurgarden got back on level terms thanks to an own goal from Valter Tomaz Jr after 12 minutes, Afonso struck twice more to put the visitors 3-1 up after 52 minutes. Djurgarden's Crister Mattiasson narrowed the deficit a minute from time but the defeat leaves them sixth.
