FC Shirak defeated FC Ararat Yerevan 1-0 to continue their pursuit of defending champions FC Pyunik in the Armenian Premier League today.

Shirak managed to convert one of the few chances that were created by both sides in the match to collect all three points when on 21 minutes Ararat Harutyunyan curled a fantastic free-kick past a stranded Ararat keeper. Shirak are now five points behind the leaders Pyunik, but with a game at hand.
Comfortable win
Elsewhere, FC Dinamo-2000 Yerevan overcame FC Lernayin Artsakh 3-0. Artem Adamyan scored twice for Dinamo, with Gagik Avagyan adding a third goal in the dying minutes of the game.

At the bottom of the table, FC Kotaik could only draw 1-1 at FC Lori. Gagik Sukiasyan gave Kotaik a lead after 15 minutes, but Hakob Mamulyan equalised from the penalty spot with four minutes remaining in the match.
