The experienced Milan Boksa has been appointed the new coach of Czech first division side and UEFA Intertoto Cup contenders 1. FC Synot, replacing Dusan Radolsky who left for Slovakian club ŠK Slovan Bratislava two weeks ago.
Long career
Boksa, 51, has previously coached at FK Teplice, FC Brno, FK Drnovice, Sigma Olomouc and Baník Ostrava. He was most recently in charge of Ceské Budejovice, but he left at the end of the 2000/01 season after failing to rescue them from relegation. He has also worked in Kuwait and Indonesia.
Helsingborgs fixture
Boksa, who has signed a one-year contract, will take charge of his team on Sunday for their Intertoto Cup second-round first leg tie against Swedish club Helsingborgs IF. Synot finished eleventh in the first division last season.
