Article body
Richard Teberio hit a hat-trick as FC Inter Turku went to the top of the Finnish Veikkausliiga tonight after a 5-1 home win over bottom of the table VPS Vaasa.
Surprise opener
VPS stunned the home fans by taking an early fourth-minute lead through Rami Louke - but it was all downhill from there on for the visitors. Teberio pulled the team's level in the 25th minute and then put his team 2-1 up 12 minutes later with his second goal of the game.
HJK defeated
Aristedes Pertot made it 3-1 two minutes after half-time and further strikes from Torberio and Diego Corpache completed the rout. The result lifts Inter to the top of the first division at the expense of HJK Helsinki, who slumped to a 1-0 home defeat against FC Lahti courtesy of Timo Marjamaa's solitary goal after 32 minutes.
Rodrigo strike
FC Jazz moved up two places to ninth in the table after recording only their fourth win of the season with a 1-0 success against Tampere United FC. Rodrigo scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute and FF Jaro and KuPS Kuopio shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
