Article body
Malmö FF moved level on points with Allsvenskan leaders Landskrona BoIS tonight in emphatic style with a 4-1 home victory against Örebro SK FK at the Malmö Idrottsplats.
Maruti equaliser
Nigerian Peter Ijeh put Malmö ahead after 23 minutes but Örebro's Kenyan Boniventure Maruti gave his side hope when he pulled the teams level just five minutes later.
Karlsson sees red
Jörgen Ohlsson made it 2-1 to the home side two minutes after the hour mark and Niklas Skoog, who left Örebro to join Malmö at the end of last season scored the third from the penalty spot after Erik Johansson had been felled in the box by Örebro's veteran goalkeeper Anders Karlsson, who was sent off for his troubles.
Two for Skoog
Skoog then struck his second of the match two minutes from full-time to cap Malmö's fifth win in a row. They have played one game more than Landskrona and trail the leaders on goal difference.
Joy for Kalmar
In tonight's other match, newly-promoted Kalmar FF clinched only their second win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory at GIF Sundsvall thanks to midfield player Henrik Rydstrom's 12th-minute goal.
