Article body
A late strike by Agust Gylfason earned Fram Reykjavík a deserved point at home to Keflavík in the Icelandic Premier League tonight.
Visitors denied
Gylfason scored with just nine minutes remaining after the visitors looked to be on their way to three valuable points that would have taken them four points clear of Fram in mid-table. After a goalless first half, Magnus Thorsteinsson fired Keflavík into the lead in the 70th minute.
Share of the spoils
ÍBV Vestmannæyjar and KA Akureyri also shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw. The hosts took the lead after 28 minutes when Bjarnolfur Larusson slotted the ball home. However, Thorvaldur Makan Sigbjornsson levelled the match 14 minutes from time to earn KA a draw that closed the gap on leaders KR Reykjavík to one point.
