The opening game of the new Slovenian season ended in a 2-2 draw between NK Olimpija Ljubljana and NK Šmartno.
Thrills aplenty
There were thrills aplenty at the Central stadium in the Slovenian capital but it was to be a frustrating night for the home side as they let a two-goal lead slip to share the points with Šmartno.
Two-goal lead
Olimpija surged into a 2-0 lead thanks to a 54th-minute goal from Senad Tiganj and a second from Anton Zlogar just four minutes later before the visitors staged a dramatic fightback.
Dramatic comeback
Matjaz Stancar reduced the deficit with a penalty in the 61st minute and then Ramiz Smajlovic struck with just two minutes left to deny Olimpija the victory. Šmartno's fightback was even more surprising given that they had Danijel Repovz sent off in the 81st minute.
