Hopes for improvement
The Spanish side have signed Bolivian international forward José Alfredo Castillo and Real Madrid CF reserve player David Sousa. Valladolid finished 12th in the Primera Divisón last season and will hope to improve on that showing next time around.
Permanent move possible
Castillo has joined on a one-year loan from Oriente Petrolero in his homeland. The deal includes the option for a permanent move at the end of the loan and, according to Oriente, the total transfer could be worth €2.3m. Sousa has agreed a four-year contract for €1.8m. Even though the deal has been sealed, the details regarding the payment still need to be finalised.
