Option to buy
The FA Premiership club have paid €2m for the 26-year-old's services for the season with the option to pay a further €4.7 to buy him permanently at the end of the loan period. The left-sided player has been on trial at Everton and played in a pre-season friendly against Shrewsbury Town FC on Saturday.
Impressed on trial
"We have liked a lot of things we have seen," Everton manager David Moyes said. "There is a bit of gamble bringing in someone from a different continent who plays a different style of football but he showed us enough in the game against Shrewsbury to suggest that we would like to bring him here."
