Sævar Thor Gislason gave Fylkir the perfect start with a long-range goal in the opening 60 seconds, and the lead was doubled when the same player crossed for fellow striker Steingrimur Johannesson to score on 35 minutes.

One-point lead
The win gives Fylkir a one-point lead over KR Reykjavík, who have a game in hand, while KA stay third.
