NK Dravograd moved into second place in the Slovenian first division courtesy of a 2-1 home victory against NK Mura at the weekend. The win takes them to within two points of leaders NK Koper.
Plesec winner
Oscar Drobne opened the scoring for the home side after nine minutes although their advantage was soon wiped out as Marjan Dominko equalised eight minutes later. But the home side were not to be denied and clinched maximum points when Roman Plesec scored on the stroke of half-time.
Primorje climb
NK Primorje are up to fifth after a 4-0 thrashing of bottom-of-the-table NK Ljubljana. After a goalless first half, the away side cut loose to score four times in 25 minutes after the break with Mitja Zatkovic, Sinisa Jankovic, Almir Tanjic and Marko Vogric all getting on the scoresheet.
Koper held
Leaders Koper drew 3-3 at NK Publikum, taking home just one point but it was enough to preserve their place at the top of the table.
Prosinecki scores decider
NK Olimpija Ljubljana's newcomer, the Croatian international Robert Prosinecki, started his career with the club by scoring the second, and decisive, goal against NK Rudar Velenje. NK Gorica earned a 2-1 home victory against NK Korotan while NK Maribor and NK Šmartno fought out a goalless draw.
