Marsaxlokk FC's spending spree has continued with the acquisitions of Nigerian Uwo Ogbodo and Michael Cutajar.
No newcomer
The 29-year-old Nigerian Uwa Silas Ogbodo is no newcomer to Maltese football having arrived on the island during the 1997/98 season for which he spent with Xghajra Tornadoes FC. He then moved on to Sliema Wanderers FC, where he spent two seasons, before moving on to Qormi FC and Longford Town FC in the Republicof Ireland.
Ambitious club
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Cutajar's arrival sees him end a six-year spell with Birkirkara FC. "I would like to thank the club and the supporters for supporting me during these fabulous years with Birkirkara,” Cutajar said before confirming that he had become the 13th recent acquisition for the ambitious club from the fishing village of Marsaxlokk.
