Finland round-up: MyPa pegged back by Hämeenlinna

Myllykosken Pallo-47 took the lead three times in their home match against FC Hämeenlinna in the Finnish Veikkausliiga but still had to be happy with a point as they lost more ground on leaders HJK Helsinki.

Salt in the wound
To add to MyPa's woes, HJK edged a 1-0 win over Tampere United FC with a Toni Kallio penalty three minutes from time and now hold a five-point lead at the top.

Brazilians make their mark
Second-placed MyPa took the lead in their match after just nine minutes through Brazilian Luiz Antonio Moraes but the advantage lasted only eight minutes as compatriot Marco Manso scored to bring lowly Hämeenlinna level.

Kunnola leveller
Saku Puhakainen restored the hosts' lead in the 24th minute before the visitors got back to 2-2 thanks to Tomi Uusitorppa's 32nd-minute effort. MyPa must have thought they had done enough to take the three points when Moraes scored his second just after the hour to put them 3-2 up, but the visitors grabbed a point through Pekka Kunnola six minutes from time.

No breakthrough
FC Inter Turku and FC Haka, who started the day in third and fourth place respectively, could only battle out a goalless draw. There were no goals in Sunday’s other game, where basement club VPS Vaasa and KuPS Kuopio failed to find a breakthrough.
