A comfortable 3-1 victory against Halmstads BK saw Örebro SK climb to fourth place on Monday.

A comfortable 3-1 victory against Halmstads BK at the Eyravallen stadium enabled Örebro SK to climb to fourth place in the Allsvenskan tonight.

Early strike
An eighth-minute strike from Gustaf Andersson sent the home side on their way and victory appeared likely when Johan Wallinder made it 2-0 to Örebro on the hal-hour mark. A Mikael Nilsson goal five minutes before the interval gave Halmstad hope but Örebro sealed maximum points 14 minutes after the restart when Jon Lundblad made it 3-1.

Landskrona beaten
Henrik Nilsson's 76th-minute effort was not enough to prevent Landskrona BoIS from crashing to a 2-1 home defeat by IFK Göteborg. Magnus Erlingmark opened the scoring for the visitors in the third minute and Sebastian Henriksson made it 2-0 midway through the first half. Henrik Nilsson gave Landskrona hope in the 76th minute but his penalty failed to spark a revival.

Thorsell leveller
In tonight's other game, GIF Sundsvall and AIK Solna fought out a 1-1 draw. Stefan Ishizaki opened the scoring for AIK after 29 minutes but Mattias Thorsell levelled matters 16 minutes after half-time.
