Article body
FC Dinamo Moskva have signed Senegal striker Pape Boune Thiaw after the player's excellent showing at the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals.
Swiss spell
The 21-year-old will move to Russia from Lausanne-Sports in Switzerland. In all, he has 14 caps and has scored five goals for the African country.
French experience
Dinamo have signed him on a loan deal until the end of the season. Despite his young age, Thiaw has plenty of experience having already played for three clubs in France; AS Saint-Etienne, FC Istres and RC Stasbourg.
Vukomanovic deal
Dinamo have also loaned 25-year-old midfield player Ivan Vukomanovic from FC Girondins de Bordeaux. Vukomanovic, capped at Under-21 level for Yugoslavia, will stay in Moscow at least until 30 June 2003, when his contract with Bordeaux expires.
Prokopenko hoping
Viktor Prokopenko, the Dinamo coach, is hoping the signings will boost his squad's chances of moving up the table. They are currently sixth in the Premier-Liga, 19 points behind leaders FC Lokomotiv Moskva, albeit with a game in hand.
