Como continue to strengthen

Members

Como Calcio have signed Benoît Cauet and Marco Rossi, taking the number of summer arrivals to 18.

Newly promoted Como Calcio have made two more important signings ahead of the new Serie A season, midfield duo Benoît Cauet and Marco Rossi arriving at the Sinigaglia stadium.

Wealth of experience
The 33-year-old Cauet, a former French international who has signed a one-year contract, brings a wealth of experience to the club. A former player with Olympique de Marseille and FC Nantes Atlantique in his homeland, Cauet played more than 100 games in Italy for Internazionale FC prior to a move to Torino Calcio in summer 2001.

European finals
Cauet also enjoyed a successful spell with Paris Saint-Germain FC, playing in the 1997 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup final defeat by FC Barcelona. The following season he tasted European glory, however, as Inter beat Italian rivals S.S. Lazio 3-0 in the UEFA Cup final.

Transfer frenzy
Como have taken advantage of AC Fiorentina's bankruptcy to sign Rossi for three seasons. The 25-year-old joined the Florence club in 2000 but was free to leave after his contract at the club was cancelled. Como have now signed 18 players in the close season.
