Charlton Athletic FC have completed the double signing of Sweden midfield player Jesper Blomqvist and Robbie Mustoe.

Knee injury
Blomqvist, 28, has signed a one-year contract after being released by Charlton's English Premiership rivals Everton FC in May. The former Manchester United FC winger has 29 caps for his country but did not figure in Sweden's 2002 FIFA World Cup finals squad. He has only just recovered from a serious knee injury suffered in 1999.

Alex failured
Mustoe, 34, signed a three-month contract with the London club after being released by Middlesbrough FC, where he had played for 12 years. The London club moved to bring in the two players after failing a bid for Japan winger Alex because of a refused work permit.
