Kanchelskis deal
The 33-year-old Kanchelskis has agreed a one-year deal after impressing manager Gordon Strachan during a trial period. A free agent following his release by Rangers FC in the summer, initially he had been training with the club simply to keep fit.
'Great attitude'
Strachan said of the erstwhile Manchester United FC and Everton FC star: "He brings experience to the squad. He has played with some of the world's best players with Russia and Manchester United. He has a great attitude and a good appetite for the game. He just wants to play and the other players look up to him."
Another free agent
Also moving to St Mary's is Marcus Hall. The 26-year-old full-back, another out-of-contract player, had left Coventry at the end of last season and had a brief spell at Nottingham Forest FC.
