Youth system
The 24-year-old, a product of Ajax's youth system and contracted until June 2005, will join the team that finished ninth in last season's Hellenic National League. Knopper has scored 25 goals in 78 games for Ajax, who won the Dutch title last season.
Cash injection
No financial details of the deal have been disclosed, although Aris recently received a cash injection of nearly €2m from former owner Dimitrios Kontominas.
Friendly tournament
Ajax face Manchester United FC, Parma AC and FC Barcelona in a friendly tournament in Amsterdam this weekend, as they prepare for their return to the UEFA Champions League in the first group stage.
