FC Neman Grodno secured top spot in the Belarussian first division as they cruised past FC Molodechno-2000, winning 2-0 on Saturday.
Boriseiko double
The 23-year-old midfielder Dmitry Boriseiko was the hero of the night for Neman, scoring twice on 30 and 76 minutes. The win continues Neman's excellent home form, as they have only dropped two points in eight home games this season.
Torpedo sink Mozyr
On Sunday, Torpedo-MAZ Minsk overcame FC Slavia Mozyr 1-0 to move into second place in the table. Vladislav Bezborodov was on target after 33 minutes, as the capital club dominated the first half. Dmitry Pinin could have given Torpedo an earlier lead, but his excellent header rattled the upright.
Unbeaten run
Elsewhere on Saturday, Shakhtior Soligorsk extended their fantastic unbeaten run at home to 27 games, as they beat in-form FC BATE Borisov 2-0. Sergey Nikiforenko scored on 25 minutes, and Roman Trepachkin added another 15 minutes from time. Shakhtior were last defeated at home on 27 August 2000.
Champions defeated
In Minsk, FC Dinamo Minsk defeated defending champions FC Belshina Bobruisk 2-1. Maxim Tsygalko opened the scoring after excellent work by Andrey Poryvayev and added a second on 62 minutes with a fine volley. Vyacheslav Gormash scored in the final minute to hand Belshina a lifeline but Dinamo, a man down after Alexey Dobrovolsky's red card, held on.
Brest in charge
FC Dinamo Brest beat FC Gomel 2-1, while FC Torpedo Zhodino thumped Lokomotiv-96 Vitebsk 5-0. Elsewhere, FC Dnepr-Transmash Mogilev overcame FC Zvezda-VA-BGU Minsk 4-0.
