CS Sedan-Ardennes have signed Senegalese defender Alcaly Camara on a one-year loan from OGC Nice.

Nine caps
The 22-year-old who has been capped nine times for Senegal will join his cousin Henri Camara who has been playing at Sedan since last year. With his new side having conceded eight goals in their last three games, Alcaly Camara will provide a vital defensive option for coach Henri Stambouli.

Permanent option
A series of disappointing results has placed considerable pressure upon Stambouli and the coach will be hoping that Alcaly Camara’s arrival will stem the flow of goals for Sedan’s opponents. The defender has the option of a permanent move to the club if his loan spell is successful.

Transfer window
Sedan are still struggling to come to terms with the departure of attacking midfield player Salif Diao who was transferred to English Premiership side Liverpool FC at the start of August. With the transfer window closing this weekend, Sedan still have the option of using their joker under a system in Le Championnat that allows limited transfer activity outside the designated transfer windows.
