Deadlock broken
After a goalless first half in front of nearly 10,000 spectators at the Ullevaal stadium, Petter Furuseth-Olsen broke the deadlock for Brann in the 53rd minute. The visitors held on for 20 minutes until Knut Hovel Heiaas drew Vålerenga level.

Heiaas's goal means Vålerenga remain ahead of Brann on goal difference. Both clubs have 21 points after 16 games, 14 points behind leaders SFK Lyn with a game in hand.
