Finland round-up: Allianssi on the rise

AC Allianssi moved up to third place in the Veikkausliiga tonight with a 2-1 home victory against FC Lahti.

The triumph, which sees Allianssi rise to within two points of leaders HJK Helsinki, albeit having played a game more, was instigated by striker Justus Vajanne's third-minute strike.

Tuunainen sees red
Petteri Kaijasilta doubled his side's advantage an hour later before Niki Helenius brought sixth-placed Lahti back into the game with 15 minutes remaining. Allianssi defender Jarno Tuunainen was sent off in the 85th minute but his team-mates held on for three points.
